QTP Seminar Series

Seminar Series

Fall Semester 2019

The Quantum Theory Project seminar series ordinarily meets on Friday afternoons in New Physics Building, Room 2205, from 3:30 to 4:30 pm, with refreshments sometimes served at 3:15 pm. In Fall Semester 2019 we are resuming more-or-less regular presentations. HOWEVER, the series does not run every week. Watch the main QTP page for seminar dates, speakers, and titles therefore. The series consists of seminars on current research topics in quantum chemistry, materials and condensed matter physics, dynamics, etc., given by guests, students, post-doctoral associates, and faculty. All are welcome.

Abstracts as available as follows.

Róbert Izsák, 22 Nov. 2019, “Domain-based Pair Natural Orbitals for Excited States Using the Similarity Transformed Equation of Motion Formalism” Abstract

The seminar series can be credited as a graduate course: PHY-6932 or CHM-6934. Graduate student attendees should see Prof. John Stanton for how to register for credit.

Suggestions and volunteers for speakers are welcome!
